In the first quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app industry on iOS has shown varied trends according to the latest data from Sensor Tower. Here's a brief look into how the top apps have fared in the US market.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting at 266K in the first week of January and dipping to 200K by the end of the month. The downloads peaked mid-March at around 259K. Weekly active users began at 7.3M and saw a peak of 7.8M in March, indicating a generally upward trend in user engagement.

Lyft, another major player, also saw an undulating download pattern, with initial downloads at 159K and a slight increase to reach 173K in the second week of March before dropping to 150K by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users started at 3.4M and ended the quarter with a slight decrease at 3.1M.

For Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, downloads remained fairly stable with a small peak of 91K in the fourth week of January. The app's weekly active users started at 2M, dipped slightly mid-quarter, and ended at approximately the same level.
